The Kids Karate program at Rising Sun Dojo provides a positive and supportive environment where children learn traditional Karate techniques while developing discipline, respect, coordination, and self-confidence. Through age-appropriate training and engaging activities, students improve focus, physical fitness, and valuable life skills that benefit them both in and out of the dojo.

Abu Sufian Haider

Abu Sufian Haider is a founding member of Rising Sun Dojo and serves as its Chief Instructor for Shotokan Karate and Okinawa Kobudo. With over 30 years of dedicated study and practice, he holds the rank of 6th Dan / Shihan in Shotokan Karate-do, 4th Dan in Okinawa Kobudo, and 2nd Dan in Mukushin Ryu Bujutsu.

Pete Campbell

Pete Campbell Sensei trained directly under Ohashi Yukio, the 15th sōke of Mukushin-ryū, for 23 years and holds the rank of Okuden in Mukushin-ryū Bujutsu. Following Ohashi Sensei’s passing in 2023, he was appointed Kanchō, serving as the technical and administrative head of the school. In 2007, he received the name Seishin (“sincere heart”) in recognition of his dedication to preserving and transmitting Mukushin-ryū.
